ascendio2012:

Chris Rankin *really* likes fandom… so much so he did his university thesis on it! Intrigued?

Come to Ascendio and hear Chris give a presentation on his fandom thesis! That’s right, Chris is back, attending his fifth HP convention! We’re super excited to have him back, and can’t wait to dream up fun and interesting ways to use him. :)

Reblog if you love Chris, or are just excited for Ascendio!

Woo! :) Chris. <3

No. Snape was definitely a slytherin through and through. Slytherins can be brave.
Gilderoy? I’d say he was pretty smart and he had a lot of dedication to his studies.
Tonks was so loyal to Remus she ultimately chose going after him rather than staying with her newborn son.
The only thing I agree with is Peter. Still don’t know how he was a gryff.

How Harry Potter starts off all: Magic is precise. You need to say the words exactly right and use exactly the right motions.

And by the end of the series it’s: FUCK IT! BLOW IT UP!!! BLOW IT UP!!! JAB AND RUN! JAB AND RUN!!!!!!!!!

I always figured it was like……

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s how it is. Plus, when they were little they were still learning how to control their magic. If they just let them do whatever spell in whatever way they wish, it would’ve been a disaster.

I agree with everything except the books. I’m sorry, but while I love the movies, they simply have nothing on the books. In fact, most of the story doesn’t make sense at all without the books as it is left unexplained yet mentioned.

If you haven’t read the books, I don’t doubt that you like Harry Potter, but I can’t consider you a true fan. It won’t kill you to read.
